What is the age range in Quad Drive?

We have a diverse club including young adults in their 20's through to mature aged members. We have trips for everyone and many long term friendships have been formed in this club. We find younger people tend to have the idea that 4wd clubs are full of boring people and we break that mould!

Is Quad Drive family friendly?

Yes! We have a number of young families in the club. We do enjoy a drink around the campfire but pride ourselves on remaining family friendly!

How many members are there and how many vehicles come on trips.

We understand the happy medium between too many vehicles on trips and too small of a club. We are typically sitting around 25-30 members. Most trips range from about 5 - 10 cars depending on the trip. We have been running trips for many years and these numbers work well!

I'm new to 4wding and nervous about damaging my car.

We have always had a have a go ethos but our members will never push you to get yourself into a situation that is beyond the capbility of you or your car. The best thing about joining a 4wd club is the confidence you get to push yourself and conquer tracks you didn't think were possible and if it goes pear shaped there is someone experienced there to help.  If you are interested in a trip we have planned ask us if it is suitable for you and your vehicle.  Remember though, mistakes happen offroad and sometimes you break your toys!

Why join a 4wd club?

  • Consistent calendar of trips
  • Meet new 4x4 enthusiasts
  • Familiarity with who you are sharing the fun and tracks with.
  • Pick up new 4x4 hacks
  • Share some 4x4 hacks
  • Do a trip you ordinarily would not attempt on your own.
  • Great company on camping getaways
  • Discover new places to explore
  • Share a favourite trip of yours
  • Access to shared club trailer and equipment
  • Access to private property arrangements only available to 4wd Clubs.

How do I join?

Everything you need to know is on the how to become a member section of the webpage. If you are interested we suggest coming to one of our monthly catchups!

Can my pet come on your trips?

Unfortunately no.

Many of our trips involve access to national parks pet forbidden places.
Often we are undertaking complex recoveries which pets could make more dangerous.
It is too much of a risk for our club to manage different peoples pet ownership standards.
